Fire House KC Event Space

STATUS: Project Complete

Fire House KC, formerly Fire Station 31, first opened its doors in 1931. It was once the only fire station in Midtown Kansas City and the main respondent to the area for more than 40 years. When it closed in 1979, the building sat vacant for the next 40 years. UC-B purchased the property in 2019 and began a meticulous restoration to breathe new life into the historic building. As owner and operator, Fire House KC emerged and it is now the ideal gathering and event space in one of Kansas City’s most beautiful and enduring historical landmarks.

The venue features a large main hall with space for 150 seated guests, high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a double-sided custom bar. The private outdoor courtyard with cafe lighting is perfect for hosting a variety of events with space for 120 seated guests. The historic stairwell with portrait windows leads you to the second floor which features a lounge, two suites, and a versatile event room that is ideal for intimate ceremonies, cocktail hours or additional meeting space.
