Lance Carlton

PRESIDENT & FOUNDING PARTNER

Lance has been actively working in real estate since 1999. He brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the real estate industry that leads UC-B Properties. Lance is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of the company, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the real estate development market yet focused on continuing our mission as a leader in the revitalization of urban Kansas City.

Lance oversees daily business operations and manages all aspects of development projects. From the initial phases of due diligence to acquisition, entitlement, financial modeling, finance, equity raise, development, general construction, management/leasing and/or sale, Lance is involved every step of the way. He has strong ambition and actively listens to colleagues, associations, neighbors and vendors which allows him to solve complex urban problems that other typical real estate professionals may not.

Lance began his career as a commercial real estate professional, facilitating commercial transactions in Boston for 12 years before moving to Kansas City to become a developer of townhomes, single-family homes, and apartments. In 2011, Lance founded Bridger Properties, a company focused on developing, building, and managing assets in the urban core of Kansas City. Soon thereafter, Bridger Properties merged with Urban Coeur Properties, founded by John Hoffman, to create UC-B Properties. Their goal was to further the mission of developing and building quality, high design, and award-winning projects in the urban core.

Lance grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Montana State University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in landscape design and horticulture. He is married to his wife, Lynn, and they have two children, Bridger and Griffin. They reside in Brookside and enjoy volunteering within the community, working charitably with nonprofit organizations, traveling and sports.
