UC-B Properties announces the ribbon-cutting ceremony for 63 Brookside! At 11:00 am, on Friday, October 21st, UC-B will be joined by the architectural team from HOK and Bear Claw Heritage construction company to celebrate the opening of this new residential complex celebrating contemporary design and modern living in Brookside at 660 E 63rd St, Kansas City, MO 64110. The three story building consists of one studio, 8 single bedrooms and 14 two bedrooms. Each unit has a deck or balcony, an in unit W/D and secure off street parking.

Dedicated to urban development, UC-B Properties is also hosting this event in support of the DeLaSalle Education Center at 3737 Troost. This high school is dedicated to high quality education leading to a high school diploma and an opportunity for many of the students to attend college. The Career Prep Academy has been established to focus on jobs training leading to a career and this year a Construction Program has been established to promote specific training in the building trades.

UC-B Properties has requested donations from everyone associated with the design and construction of 63Brookside to this DeLaSalle program. At the dedication and Ribbon Cutting on Friday, October 21st, we will present a check to Mark Williamson, Executive Director of the school.  After the Ribbon Cutting at 11 o’clock, an annual luncheon of the Southtown Council will take place at the Brookside Gardens event space next door to the apartments where UC-B Properties will receive a 2016 award from Southtown Council for the project. UC-B Properties is a five year old company founded by John Hoffman and Lance Carlton. Our core business is to design, finance and construction residential projects consisting of single family, town houses and apartment building strategically placed throughout the urban core. Previous developments include Gillham Park Row, 29Gillham, 27Campbell town homes and single family homes in Longfellow, Beacon Hill and Hyde Park. A previously affiliated company build Boulevard Row, four homes on Rainbow, 40 Penn Row, Sixteenth and Summit, East Market Row and Cherry Hill Row. In addition, 30 Gillham Row, Triangle Town Homes and Battery Lofts were developed and sold over the last 14 years.

Future projects include a $90 million project south of 27th and Gillham south of Crown Center, additional single family homes in Beacon Hill, a hotel at 24th and Troost and apartments and retail at 27th and Troost. We just relocated our office to 4325 Troost and we’re about to construct four single family homes in the Manheim neighborhood, the first market rate homes in this neighborhood in over 50 years. Five town homes at 63rd and Oak are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
