Beacon Hill Single Family
STATUS: Project Complete
The Beacon Hill project was a new construction residential development comprised of 30 single family homes for sale, with most completed by 2019 and four additional completed in 2023. DRAW Architecture + Urban Design and HJM Architects Inc. designed the homes ranging from 1800 to 2400 square feet.
The development is located from 24th to 26th Streets and Forest Avenue and helped to revitalize the historic neighborhood of Beacon Hill. The land was purchased via an RFP process from the city of Kansas City. A 25-year tax abatement available to home buyers was put in place by the master developer. The project was financed with 20-30% developer equity plus traditional bank financing.
